Terms & refunds
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms govern licenses for OSMD for WordPress Premium, the premium add-on to the free OpenSheetMusicDisplay plugin. The add-on is made by PhonicScore GmbH, Assmayergasse 26/3, 1120 Vienna, Austria, company register FN 383001m (“we”, “us”). By buying a license you agree to these terms.
1. Who sells the license
Our order process is run by our reseller Freemius, Inc., which is the Merchant of Record for all orders. Freemius takes the payment, charges VAT or sales tax where the law requires, and issues the invoice. Its terms apply to the purchase and the payment.
2. What a license gives you
- The right to install and use the premium add-on on as many WordPress installations as your plan includes: 1 (Solo), 5 (Business) or 25 (Enterprise). A license counts as used on an installation while it is activated there; you can deactivate it and use it elsewhere.
- Updates and email support for as long as the license runs.
- The add-on works together with the free OpenSheetMusicDisplay plugin, which must stay installed and active.
The license is non-exclusive and not transferable. You must not resell, share or publish the add-on or your license key. The free plugin and OSMD itself are open source under their own licenses.
3. Prices, renewal and cancellation
- Prices are shown on the pricing page, without VAT.
- A license is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly in advance. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time in your account. The license keeps running until the end of the period you paid for; after that, updates and support stop.
- If you change to a plan with more sites, you pay the difference for the rest of the current period.
4. Refunds
If premium doesn’t work for you, write to support@opensheetmusicdisplay.org within 14 days of a payment, first purchase or renewal, and we refund that payment in full. You don’t need to give a reason. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Freemius.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
5. Availability and changes
We keep the add-on working with current versions of WordPress and adapt it as WordPress changes, but we cannot guarantee that it runs on every theme or together with every other plugin. We may change and develop the add-on. If a change takes away a feature you rely on, you can cancel, and we refund the unused part of what you paid.
6. Liability
- We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health.
- For slight negligence we are liable only for breaching an essential contractual obligation, and only for the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract. Towards businesses, our liability in such cases is limited to the fees paid in the 12 months before the damage.
- Liability under mandatory law, such as product liability law, remains unaffected.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the add-on or the law changes. We tell you about important changes at least 30 days before they take effect, by email. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
8. Law and disputes
Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live. For businesses, the courts of Vienna have exclusive jurisdiction. If a provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remains valid.
