Privacy policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy explains how we handle personal data on osmd-wp.com, when you buy the premium add-on, and in the premium plugin itself.
Who is responsible
The controller is PhonicScore GmbH, Assmayergasse 26/3, 1120 Vienna, Austria. For anything about your data, write to office@phonicscore.com.
Visiting osmd-wp.com
- The site is served by Cloudflare. To deliver a page and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes your IP address, the time, the page requested and details of your browser. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- The site sets no cookies of its own, uses no tracking or advertising, and loads its fonts from its own server.
- The live sheet music demo loads a MusicXML file from this site and draws it in your browser. If you press Play or the metronome, your browser loads the instrument samples from GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA), which receives your IP address, the same way the premium plugin does on its users’ sites. Nothing else you do in the demo is sent anywhere. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in playing the demo you asked for (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Buying the premium add-on
- The checkout opens on our pricing page in a window served by Freemius, Inc., 4023 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19807, USA. Freemius sells the license as our reseller and Merchant of Record and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy, as a controller in its own right. Freemius may set cookies for the checkout.
- We receive your name, email address, country and the order details, such as plan, number of sites and billing period. We use them to provide your license, updates and support. Legal basis: contract and our legal duty to keep accounts (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).
- Your account (licenses, downloads, invoices) is in the Freemius customer portal, also under Freemius’ privacy policy.
The premium plugin on your site
When you activate a license, the plugin sends Freemius what it needs to check the license and deliver updates: the license key, your site’s address, and the versions of WordPress, PHP and the plugin. Anything beyond that, such as your admin email address or usage data, is sent only if you agree in the plugin. Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for the optional data, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
The plugins do not track your site’s visitors.
Contacting us
When you write to us, we use your message and contact details to answer. Legal basis: contract or our legitimate interest in answering (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
Who receives data
- Cloudflare, Inc., USA: hosting and delivery of this site, as our processor.
- Freemius, Inc., USA: checkout, payment, licensing and updates; as Merchant of Record a controller in its own right.
- GitHub, Inc., USA: hosts the instrument samples the demo loads when you press Play.
- Our tax advisers, auditors and lawyers, and authorities, where the law requires.
We do not sell personal data.
Transfers outside the EU
Cloudflare, Freemius and GitHub may process data in the USA. These transfers rest on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the company is certified under it, and otherwise on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
- Order and billing records: seven years, as Austrian tax law requires (§ 132 BAO).
- License data: as long as the license runs, then as long as the records above must be kept.
- Emails to us: as long as needed to deal with your request.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), and you can withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)). Write to office@phonicscore.com; we answer within one month. You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Austria that is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
Changes
We update this policy when the site, the plugins or the law change. The date at the top shows the current version.
